River Thaw On the Hudson River the distant mountain looks to be on fire from the sun's warmth. Blocks of ice float in the river much like the lily pads in a Monet painting. This is one of my favorite Hudson River images because I love to see the cold, solid ice breaking up as the warmth of spring approaches.
